The Cleat Key™ is a product of the Bike Energy Lab Ltd., based in Hong Kong and founded by Antony Pringle.

In the mid-eighties, Antony started fitting people to bikes at a custom frame builder in Gatineau, Quebec, that was deemed one of Bicycling Magazine’s best bike shops in North America. There, he developed a comprehensive understanding of bicycle frame geometry and design principles, along with a deep knowledge of component and equipment selection.

His passion for bicycles and speed led him to pursue an education in engineering. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Waterloo, a Master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Ottawa, and has taken numerous advanced courses in ergonomics (the fitting of humans to machines), aerodynamics, and lightweight materials and structures. He is a registered professional engineer in the province of Ontario, Canada.

Antony actively races in local endurance sport events as an age grouper. He is one of only a few fitters in Asia certified by both the Fit Institute Slowtwitch (F.I.S.T.) and Retul, and is proud to have fitted over 80 qualifiers to the Ironman, and IM 70.3, and UCI road cycling world championships events (including himself!). He has been fitting people to bikes for over 35 years.

The Cleat Key team is a group of passionate cyclists with a mission to get more people more comfortable on their bikes. That means more people on bikes, and more people on bikes means a better world for everyone!
